There are currently seventy five sworn members of the Middletown Police Department including the Chief of Police, two Lieutenant Bureau Commanders, four Lieutenant Shift Supervisors and one Training Lieutenant, one Detective Sergeant, four Patrol Sergeant Supervisors, one Community Policing/Juvenile Sergeant, one Narcotic Squad Sergeant, eight Detectives and fifty one Officers with various assignments including D.A.R.E., S.R.O. (School Resource Officer), K-9, foot, bicycle and car patrol. Other staff include one Parking Authority/Code Enforcement Officer and one Animal Control Officer, four full time and three part-time dispatchers and four full time secretaries. Also maintained and supervised through the police department is our School Crossing Guard staff.
