Police urge residents to lock their car doors 02/23/2010 The Middletown Police Department wishes to remind residents and visitors to our city of the importance of locking your car doors. There have been numerous larcenies from motor vehicles during the last month and a half, many of which have been in the second ward area between Highland Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue from Prospect Street to Wisner Avenue. In the vast majority of these car larcenies, the vehicles are left unlocked and often times valuables have been left sitting on the front seat of vehicles, in easy view from the exterior. The Police Department will continue to attempt to solve these larcenies and have added patrols to the second ward area stated above.
