Police arrest in two in wig store robbery

On February 7, 2011 at approximately 6:20PM Middletown Polcie responded to a report of a robbery at 202 WIckham Avenue, the "Mane Idea" wig shop.
Officers were advised that two subjects had entered the store and while one subject removed two wigs from a shelf and fled the store, the other subject physically restrained the store clerk.
Both suspects were later observed walking on North Street in Middletown, still in possession of stolen property, and were taken in custody.
Arrested were Porcha E. Wheeler (17) and Synquan J. McNair (19).
Ms. Wheeler is accused of removing the wigs from the store, while Mr. McNair is accused of attempting to restrain the store clerk from pursuing Ms. Wheeler.

Both subjects were charged with Robbery in the second degree (a class "C" Felony) and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree (a Class "A" misdemeanor) and were held pending arraignment.
