Police arrest convenience store burglar 02/25/11 On February 19, 2011 Dino's Deli on Wawayanda Avenue in the City of Middletown was burglarized. Stolen during the burglary were numerous cartons of cigarettes and currency. On February 24, 2011, Officer George Neilson observed a vehicle travelling on Fulton Street in Middletown. The vehicle, with Officer Neilson behind it, rolled up a snow bank and nearly onto a sidewalk. The driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of numerous hypodermic syringes and was placed under arrest. Officers later recovered numerous tools, including pry bars, that are believed to be involved in the Dino's deli burglary. The driver of the vehicle, Joshua P. Edwards (25)of Chester, New York was arrested and charged with Burglary in the Third Degree (a class "D" Felony) along with Possession of Burglars Tools (a class "A" Misdemeanor)associated with the February 19th burglary of Dino's Deli. He was additonally charged with Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe (a class "A" Misdemeanor) and vehicle and traffic offenses. Edwards was arraigned and transported to Orange County Jail.
