POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING November 11, 2009 City of Middletown Police are investigating an incident in which gun shots were fired into an apartment at the David Moore Heights housing development last night. Officers responded to the “7” building at approximately 9:13 last night after residents of an apartment reported that unknown persons where shooting into their apartment. No one was injured. Police recovered projectiles from two adjacent apartments as well as spent bullet casings. Police were hindered because some of the victims refused to fully cooperate. It appears that the victims were targeted and this was not a random attack. Anyone with information is asked to call Middletown police at 343-3151, via the anonymous tip line at 1-877-341-TIPS or online at www.middletownpolice.com. All calls and tips will be treated confidentially. The City of Middletown Police Department, which is the second largest police department in Orange County, started serving the residents of Middletown in 1888.
