POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY
December 10, 2009


The City of Middletown Police is investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night at the Monhagen Wine and Liquor at 178 West Main Street.

At approximately 7:10 last night two suspects entered the store. One of the suspects placed a bottle of Hennessy on the counter. After placing the bottle on the counter the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The second suspect than walked behind the counter and started taking money from the register. Both men fled on foot.

The suspects are described as two black males, one wearing a black jacket and one wearing a blue jacket with a grey wool hat. Both jackets had fur on the hoods. One of the suspects displayed a handgun.

Cash from the register and the bottle of Hennessy was taken.
