Middletown Police make arrest in counterfeit DVD case

On February 6, 2010 the Middletown Police Department and the Anti-piracy branch of the Motion Picture Association of America conducted an investigation into the sale of counterfeit DVD's at the Middletown Flea Market, 128 Dolson Ave.
After an investigation, Jian Wu Dai of Flushing, New York was arrested and charged with Trademark Counterfeiting 2nd degree, a class E felony, and Failure to disclose origin of a recording, also a class E felony.
Approximately 1600 DVD's were confiscated following arrest.
The movie titles included first run movies, not yet released on DVD such as "The Book of Eli", "Sherlock Holmes" and "Avatar".
Dai was arraigned and sent to Orange County Jail in lieu of bail.
