Through collaborative problem solving with the community and aggressive pursuit of law violators, the Middletown Police Department endeavors to keep our community safe and secure. Our tradition of Community Policing means that we listen to your concerns and work cooperatively with the community we serve. We respond to complaints and seek out long-term solutions to neighborhood problems and challenges. Our staff, both sworn and non-sworn, are well trained, well equipped and committed to serving our great city.

Day and night, 365 days a year, our officers are on the ready and prepared to respond quickly to emergencies throughout our city. Last year we responded to over 36,359 calls for service of which approximately 4,321 were 9-1-1 emergency calls. As a result of the excellent work being done by our employees, and through collaboration with citizens and community groups, we consistently and constantly strive to meet the challenges that face our community.

It is ultimately the mission of the Middletown Police Department to seek and find ways to deliver a feeling of safety, security and quality police services for all people, residents and visitors, in the Middletown community.

As an agency committed to the needs of our community, quality of life offenses are strictly enforced. Preventing crime is our first operational priority as we work from a community-based philosophy of policing. Working together we are most apt to make lasting improvements in our quality of life.
